We have started to identify the skills shortage from your requests to bridge specific learning gaps. We had our own fun this month installing new print drivers after unnecessarily opening the folder we had downloaded. We can all benefit by sharing and publishing those well kept secrets. OK we may have to break down certain job retention practice and invest in the time to train.
New and old CSN readers are invited to join in with this market research to plan an easily deliverable training prospectus. As reported last month, we don't want to lead a questionnaire with a list of training proposals that all print business owners would feel obliged to say yes to. We need real printers suggestions please, to improve our skills base and deliver training with entry levels that will encourage everyone to join in. Our next action is to work with a Pro Skills market Research Manager to build our training needs analysis survey. Your input is vital as your specific needs have to be identified, to be acknowledged, shared and included in our report. Only then, can we build a training prospectus fit for print.
