|R Booths Ltd Installs 2.5 x 1.6-metre Titanium 2516 Cutter
R Booths Ltd has invested in an IGS Titanium 2.5 x 1.6 metre cutting table, to eliminate a finishing bottleneck arising from the installation of a Fuji Acuity UV flatbed printer.
This Penryn Cornwall based Digital, Wide Format and Litho Printer has seen a significant increase in wide format sales since the Fuji Acuity installation in July 2018.
However, this increase in production has led to a finishing bottleneck due to their manual cutting processes.
Steve Booth, Managing Director, evaluated several alternatives before finding that the Titanium 2516 offered the best price/performance match for their requirements.
“We pride ourselves on being one of the best equipped digital wide format companies in the South West”.
“The Fuji Acuity and IGS Titanium 2516 combination has enabled us to offer a varied range of products including short run and prototype packaging, point of sales displays, kiss-cut labels and even custom coffin lids” says Booth
The Titanium 2516 was purchased from International Graphic Supplies (IGS) Caldicot Monmouthshire based machinery and consumables supplier, who are the Titanium sole distributor for UK and Ireland.
The Titanium series offers an impressive range of cutting tables that start with the Titanium 0604 a SRA3 cutter, an ideal choice for the digital print market such as Konica Minolta, Ricoh, Xerox, HP Indigo and SRA3 litho presses.
For the wide format print market cutting tables are available from 1.1 x 1.3 up to 3.5 x 2.0 metres. With an automatic precision cutting tool, the exact cutting depth can be achieved quickly, precisely and efficiently.
Supplied as standard with all Titanium cutters is a high resolution registration camera which ensures cutting printed jobs accurate to register.
A range of specialty tools are supplied with each cutter. These tools offer speed, power and flexibility to handle a wide variety of materials, such as corrugated, folding carton, solid board, foam, coating blankets, textiles, wood and a long list of plastics.
Peter Flynn, Managing Director IGS comments on the installation "Wide format printing and digital cutting are a consultative process with our customers ensuring that the system we supply meets their requirements and future expansion.”
“I’m very pleased to see Booths are already enjoying the many benefits of moving to a Titanium cutter. As Steve identified our price/performance is hard to match, we are busy with enquires from prospects looking for an alternative to the main stream digital cutting suppliers.”
