Sharp has announced a new line of A3 Advanced and Essentials Series colour document systems for the technology driven workplace. The fourteen new colour MFPs with speeds of 30ppm to 60ppm, offer Sharp's award-winning, easy to use touchscreen display, common across the whole Sharp MX line-up, and add new security enhancements and cloud integration features.
The new colour Advanced and Essentials Series offer robust security features, such as a firmware attack prevention and a self-recovery capability, which can identify a malicious intrusion and restore the machine firmware to its original state. A new whitelisting feature helps protect the machines' file system from unauthorised access. Additionally, administrators can centrally manage select settings at the device using Active Directory® Group Policy.
The new colour models easily integrate with today's complex network environments and offer quick access to an expanded list of cloud services that include Box and Dropbox. Additionally, Adobe Embedded Print Engine enables users to direct print PDF files with greater performance and accuracy. Performance tests by Adobe found an up to 80% print speed gain for mobile and cloud environments versus previous PDF direct print options.
Sharp's new Application Portal, available in spring 2019, will allow administrators to easily add new applications and update existing ones right from the touchscreen.
Rachel Dean, Product Business Manager, said, "The new line of colour MFPs offer greater integration, and enhanced workflow capability to meet the demands of today's technology-driven workplace. Our focus continues to be to provide quality MFPs that deliver superior productivity and ease-of-use without compromising on security.”
