Game-changing new products and machinery set to launch at Printwear & Promotion LIVE! 2019

Printwear & Promotion LIVE!, the annual platform for all things garment decoration, is fast approaching. The 30th anniversary exhibition will be the biggest in the show’s history, taking place in Halls 17 & 18 at the NEC, Birmingham from Sunday, 20th January to Tuesday, 22nd January 2019.

Over the past three decades, the show has become recognised as a launch pad for innovations in garment decoration. This tradition will not be broken in 2019, with an array of state of the art products set to launch at the show, alongside a number of exclusive UK debuts.

Year on year, embroidery machine manufacturers introduce faster, leaner, increased memory machines to improve efficiency and downtime. Printwear & Promotion LIVE! serves as a unique opportunity to see the latest embroidery developments side by side, along with live demonstrations and expert advice.
Visitors on the lookout for an upgrade to their existing embroidery machine may want to visit the Midwest Machinery stand (F70), where the HCR3-1504x Stretch from Japanese manufacturer Happy can be seen for the first time at the show.
Another point of interest will be the AJS Embroidery Services stand (K10 & L10) where Coloreel, the revolutionary instant thread colouring unit, makes its UK debut. The stand will feature live demonstrations of the innovative technology, which enables high-quality colouring of thread on demand and as a result, increased opportunities for unique designs and improved overall production efficiency.

Other embroidery machines launching at the show include the Sprint 7 and 7XL from ZSK (Stocks Embroidery Solutions, stand D30), the latest additions to the Merlin Pro industrial embroidery range, the GS1506 and GS1504 (GS UK, stand B55) and the SWF KS Super Compact 8 head industrial embroidery machine (Your Embroidery Services, stand H10), to name a few.

Visitors to the Your Embroidery Services stand will also be able to find out more about one of the many game-changing DTG printers launching at the show this year: the new DTG-QM8 from DTG Digital. The high speed, industrial, production-ready textile printer promises to deliver incredible sharp colours and clarity at a competitive price – and boasts the lowest ink, consumable and service cost on the market.
Another innovation in DTG printing is the new Ri 1000 from Ricoh, which will be available on the Resolute DTG stand (B20). Ricoh’s middle market option boasts many of the same features as the higher-end Ri 6000, but with a price tag far less than its production capabilities.

The Kornit Storm HD6 industrial printer entered the market earlier this year, allowing small to mid-size businesses to drastically reduce their cost per print, produce high-definition image quality and enjoy an enhanced colour management experience. More information about the Kornit Storm HD6 can be found at the show on both the Amaya Sales UK (E40) and Adelco (J20) stands.

For visitors interested in dye sublimation, the Roland DG (UK) stand (G60) will be as a must visit. The company returns to Printwear & Promotion LIVE! after a period of absence and will bring the ground-breaking Texart RT-640M digital dye sublimation printer. With its unique printing capabilities that make it possible to print directly onto polyester-based fabrics and dye sublimation transfer paper, and an unrivalled price to performance ratio, this new printer is sure to be a star attraction.

The new Ghost Sublime Toner, designed specifically for transfer to polyester textiles, will be available on the Ghost stand (G22). Simply replace your CMYK toner cartridges with a set of Sublime CMYK toner cartridges, print onto regular copy paper and you’re ready to transfer directly onto your chosen textile.
With transfer printing remaining a popular and straightforward method of garment decoration, there will be a vast number of exhibitors on hand with plenty of new products and advice in spades.
The Target Transfers stand (C30) will feature a whole myriad of new heat presses and materials, including the UK debut of the Stahls’ Hotronix Dual Air Fusion IQ machine, the launch of the Stahls’ Hotronix power Platen and the Stahls’ EZ Weeding Table. As the bond between a heat transfer material and its carrier lessens when heated, the table promises to improve HTV weeding by 80% - and visitors are invited to put it to the test by bringing along their own pre-cut design for weeding.

The Stahls’ Hotronix can also be seen in action on the Doro Tape stand (A52), which will feature live demonstrations of the entire process of producing graphics and logos - from printing all the way to application. It will also be the place to see the new Image Flex Turbo 4036 - a digital print, heat pressable PU film that can be used to produce full colour high resolution graphics and logos for garment personalisation on almost any textile. In addition to this, visitors can browse Doro Tape’s full selection of garment decoration films, including the Pro Flex colour range, reflective and fluorescent films and the popular Pearl Glitter Range.
Those who want to see the latest on the screen printing front may want to stop by the Screen Print World stand (B70) to see the new Diamondback E from M&R; visit new exhibitor H.G. Kippax & Sons on stand K54 for the new Inpro screen cleaning unit and UV LED exposure unit or stop by the EXILE Technologies stand (B30) to see live demonstrations of the new FREEstyler DTS and SPYDER II computer to screen systems
