Axzyra has announced the Apache Flux, a small footprint Flexible conveyor fed UV cure printer with swappable product holders (jigs), and using well proven Apache build standards such as, simplicity of design, Ricoh inkjet head technology, robust industrial components, plus an encoder-controlled conveyor / print stage.
The return on investment will be quicker when compared to any current static small format flatbed printer due to the higher uninterrupted throughput.
The USP is minimum downtime as there are no load / unload stoppages between bed loads.
It can be optionally fitted with rear output hoppers for auto unload of items, for example - golf balls or pens. meaning less operator intervention thus higher productivity.
Testing has proved there is a three fold increase in throughput for example when printing golf balls, as compared to loading and unloading a comparative sized manual fed UV flatbed printer.
There is for example real production data from a customer using a standard flatbed which can currently print 2000 balls per eight hour day, measured against the Apache Flux, printing at 6000 per day. This means one Apache conveyor UV golf ball printer has a similar production speed to three units of the Apache E6045 printer (600 x 450mm print area)
Other common items that can be printed include: casino chips, dog tags, ball pens, mobile phone cases, etc.
