At this year's Fresh PR Awards, category sponsor Premier Paper Group presented the gold award for the 'Freshest Green PR' to the team from Chester based de Winter. Praised for improving local community relations, de Winter launched its 'Growing up green' campaign at the Eco-conscious Golden Square Shopping Centre.
The awards, presented at the Hilton Deansgate in Manchester on March 1st celebrate the very best in the PR industry. Premier Paper Group has the most extensive range of recycled papers in the UK and is keen to get behind awards that recognise green issues.
Dave Jones, Marketing Director at Premier said: "We were proud to support the 'Green PR' award at this year's ceremony, as it is an area of work that we relate to and encourage. The entries were impressive and we're really pleased that eco-campaigns were big contenders.
"The team at de Winter have done a good job of bringing neglected green issues to the forefront and it's great that a whole community can now benefit from this campaign alone."
Chair of the Judges for the Fresh PR awards this year, Avril Lee said "The number of entries was up this year, with an impressive 122 agencies putting forward their best work for review by industry leaders. The breadth of clients, from A&E units to local green initiatives to technology innovators and major high street brands, was truly encouraging. Despite the economic pressures, the UK PR industry is at the top of its game, with PR professionals working hard to achieve measurable business impact for clients, and working harder still to make their budgets go further. And 'small' budgets proved no barrier to great ideas and business results."
