Collins Scott Marketing wins Government research contract into recycled paper fibre

Collins Scott Marketing (CSM) is delighted to announce that it has secured yet another prestigious contract win in 2008, this time to undertake a research project into the availability of recycled fibre in the paper industry for OGCbuying.solutions, which is an executive agency of the Office of Government Commerce in the Treasury.

CSM has been appointed to engage and interview paper and print industry suppliers, manufacturers and distributors into the use and availability of recycled fibre, its use in products and planned future developments, as part of the "Paper Vision for the Future" research project.

The research project will help enable the government to ascertain what results are achievable as part of its Sustainable Procurement Agenda, with regards to the use of recycled fibre and paper, and what it can do to help and encourage industry to produce more. The research will equally assist government in examining the potential benefits of collaborative engagement with the industry as well as its continued use of virgin papers.

"This is a significant appointment for us," said Vince Collins. "OGCbuying.solutions were keen to engage a consultant with extensive knowledge and contacts across the paper and print industry. Our comprehensive industry network and expertise, together with our reputation for impartiality, convinced them that we could help them deliver "Paper Vision for the Future" We look forward to working with the major paper and print industry providers and stakeholders in the coming months."
